How to Unblock Bebo, Facebook, MySpace and Orkut?
Plenty of web filters block the well-known social networking websites: Bebo, Facebook, MySpace and Orkut. It comes as a terrible surprise to those who are stuck in the office, or at school. Note that your boss is likely using a web filter for a reason and it may not be the best idea to attempt to access MySpace (or any other websites that have been blocked from the web filter, for that matter) without offering any form of notification.
Unlocking Instructions
1.
Find a Proxy - A proxy is a form of anonymity (as a more technical description, a website that is able to hide your IP Address by using the proxy server's). Using a proxy is the easiest method to access websites that have been blocked by your work-place/school's filter without having administrative access to the web filter. The simplest way to find a proxy is to use a proxy top-site (a list of proxy sites) - Tech FAQ's Proxy Sites is a good example. The generated list at Tech FAQ is displayed in the order of which the proxies were created. As soon as you have found a proxy site that has not been blocked off by your work-place/school's filter, proceed to the next step.
2.
Enter the URL to MySpace - Scroll down the page until you see a button displaying "Browse!" (or similar) on the right-hand side of a form. Click on the form and enter "http://www.myspace.com" (without the quotes).
3.
Enable Scripts - Make sure that the "Disable Scripts" or "Disable JavaScript" checkbox is unchecked.
4.
Enter MySpace - Click on the button next to the form, which will likely have the text "Browse!" printed on it. Login to MySpace and begin surfing.
